My LYA Story
A little backstory, at the time I have been an artist for 18 years… but I kept finding myself feeling a bit blocked and couldn't find a step forward. Even after taking college courses and getting two degrees, an AA in Studio Art and BFA in Illustration & Animation... no one ever taught me the business and other ways to navigate for a creative business.
Watching Others Grow
I personally had been eyeing this course in 2020 and watched various artists who came out of taking this course and seeing how much they have grown after the fact and I was sold on it.
In Fall of 2022, I decided to take the leap and loved every minute of it. I still use the lessons to this day because you get access for life and I also printed out everything into my own workbook… However, now they actually offer a printed version for anyone who signed up so you don't even have to do that part!
Watching Myself Grow
Since taking it I've seen my business grow and myself, my confidence, and my own brand actually looks, feels, and is me! I'm able to talk about my art and what I do and have found a direction forward by leveraging my own art from the past to lead me into a better future.
This course is full of information that is not only helpful and inspirational, but full of actual content that can help any creative business grow.
Besides running my own shop, I started teaching art to other students, allowing me to focus on building my brand, getting my art in storefronts, and am on track to getting my art in stores and have a goal to have art licensed by other companies. I also strengthened my website, shop, and now have a growing newsletter.
Investing in Yourself
I definitely contribute it to taking Leverage and investing in myself because it gave me a guide and a good balance of new ways to diversify and make my art work for me, not vice versa. :)
